Original Trek Producer Herbert Solow Reviews New Film

On the BBC.co.uk website, Herb Solow — one of the original producers of Star Trek in the 1960s — has written a review of the new film reboot of the franchise.
First impressions: “The production looked flawless”; “Most of the characters rang true”; “I was impressed and taken with the obvious concern to honour our original series.”

Chris Pine Chasing Role in “The A-Team”

According to the Movies Blog at MTV.com, Chris Pine is lobbying hard to capture the role of Murdock in the upcoming A-Team feature film remake.
As MTV points out, Pine might seem to be more suited for the role of Face. However, Pine — who appears to be a big fan of the ’80s television hit — is more interested in playing the madman Dwight Schultz originated in the series.
Anyone who has seen Pine’s lunatic performance in Smokin’ Aces knows that he’s got the chops to pull off such a character. And given that The A-Team is set to be directed by Joe Carnahan, who also directed Smokin’ Aces … well, there seems to be a fairly good chance of Pine landing the role.
