According to Hollywood Reporter reporter James Hibberd, NBC renew Chuck for 13-episode season, to begin airing at unknown date on unknown day of week and unknown time slot.

How Sloth know when to set VCR to record season premiere?  Article contain too much vaguery for Sloth taste, but Sloth positive emotion completely overwhelm Sloth confusion and dismay.

Sloth optimistic full detail be reveal at NBC upfront presentation this week.

Sloth rather emotional at moment … Sloth need moment to compose self after monumentous series season finale of favorite television show, Chuck.

Well, Sloth, what happen this: Chuck resign job at Buy More; Sarah reassign to head of new intersect program, work with Bryce Larkin (his hair bother Sloth); Casey give Chuck paycheck for entire intersect mission, Chuck apparently now roll in currency; Casey rejoin special forces division, go on mission; Clark Griswold show up at wedding, say he kill Ellie if Chuck not deliver intersect cube within thirty-forty minute; Chuck ask Morgan delay wedding, Morgan bring Jeffster to wedding, Jeffster perform rousing rendition Styx classic “Mr. Roboto”; Chuck call Casey for help, but Casey not answer phone, so Chuck leave message; Chuck, Sarah, and Casey with special forces division stop Clark Griswold, destroy wedding reception room in process; Jeffster shoot off firework at end of  rousing rendition Styx classic “Mr. Roboto,” cause fire sprinkler system go off, ruin entire wedding; Chuck use government pay, buy Ellie new wedding.  (Wedding much improve, in Sloth opinion; less traditional but more intimate, replacing illusion of adornment with sophistication of timeless element like wind, sand, surf, sky.  Sloth find Chuck wedding approach to be bohemian, yet classical.)

Wedding reception proceed; Bryce Larkin in danger; Orion reveal he have intersect in head, alert Chuck and Sarah to danger; Casey nearly kill by rogue operative (who kill Clark Griswold), but he join Chuck and Sarah in attempt rescue Bryce Larkin; Larkin take fatal bullet injury, boo hoo; Chuck make heroic decision, load dangerous new intersect into self.

Chuck then reveal he have awesome new kung fu soldier capability, take down entire team rogue operative by self.  Sarah look stun, Casey look jealous.

Episode end!

Sloth spend nine minute vomit up Rocky Road, he so overwhelm by sheer awesome of end to episode.

Sloth have multitude of thought, try to boil down to essential:

(1)  If this series finale, is great end.

(2)  Chuck producer so dumb on occasion.  How you have Captain Archer and Captain Sheridan in same episode, yet not have a good scene together?  That seem like waste.  Not awesome.

(3)  Jeffster, on other hand…?  Awesome.  Also awesome that Awesome realize Jeffster awesome.

(4)  Poppa Awesome have most awesome line of episode: “Son … why are you letting Sam Kinison and an Indian lesbian wreck your wedding?”  Sloth lol at that BIG time, but he not realize Lester actually woman.  Sloth think Lester terrible name for woman; how Sloth suppose know he a she?  Sloth blame, again, on Chuck producer.  On other hand, Lester frequently shown lust after women in Buy More; Sloth might have known from that that he lesbian!

(5)  Sloth impress by way writer realize that Chuck have need for way pay for Ellie new wedding.  Therefore, write in scene of Chuck receive paycheck early in episode so that it not seem too convenient when Chuck able to finance entire wedding out of pocket at moment notice.  Good write!

(6)  Sloth extremely intrigue by idea of make Chuck into Neo for next season.  Sloth suspect many fan of Chuck upset by such potential large change to show format, but Sloth think that format occasional too rigid, and predictable; bold format shake-up seem like quick way of re-energize entire series, in Sloth opnion.

(7)  Episode end with “To Be Continued…”  Sloth still drunk on pill and malt wine, but Sloth interpet this as sign NBC definite renewing show for third season.  Sloth find hard to imagine NBC allow Chuck producer — stupid producer — place “To Be Continued” card on end of episode if continuation not sure to happen.  Sloth sure NBC not that stupid.  NBC executive know what Sloth do to entire family while NBC executive watch with eyelid cut off so closing eye not option … NBC executive not want risk such pain.

While at Starfury convention in Birmingham, England, Cuck and Casey — which article mistakenly refer to as “Zachary Levi and Adam Baldwin” — field suggestions from fan, and lead 400-person march to Subway sandwic shop.  Chuck and Casey apparently intend illustrate to advertiser thatfans of show willing to put money where mouth is.  Also willing to put sandwich where mouth is, and gnaw on sandwich until only mouth remain.

Sloth wish he able to make “joke” about how he want to eat Ellie’s six-inch tuna, but Sloth not able think of one.

Sloth spend most of new episode, “Chuck Versus the Colonel,” afraid he have to hunt down John Casey and bludgeon him death with rusty food pan.  He betray Chuck!  He betray Sarah!  He betray TEAM!  Rrrrraaaaaggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Casey come to sense before episode end, help Chuck save father, help save world by destroy Fulcrum.  Sloth glad casey promote to Colonel; Casey deserve.

This one of Sloth favorite episode Chuck, but Sloth have question or two.  Fulcrum hold super-secret world domination meeting right out in open at old abandon drive-in movie theatre.  What they do if people not in touch with current event show up expecting see movie…?  Kill all customer?  What if police car drive by, think suspicious that there whole fleet of car park at closed drive-in?  Why Fulcrum not rent out wing of local Marriott, like sensible evil organization?

Sloth not sure how Fulcrum get to be so dangerous, when make stupid decision like this.

Sloth afraid this penultimate episode of series.  Sloth not think NBC likely renew Chuck.  Sloth chew out NBC executive intestine if they cancel Chuck!  Sloth anticipate soon snack on tasty executive chitlin.

Sloth enjoy see Sarah wearing panty.  Sloth seem to experience loss of room in underwear during this scene.  Sloth not understand why show producer care that Chuck not bring condom.  Sloth say condom unnecessary; what worst could happen?  Also, Sloth unsure why Zachary Levi not show up for episode prepare.  He not read script?!?  He not know Chuck need condom so he able show Sarah his Flash Face?!?  Stupid Zachary Levi, ruin entire scene.

Sloth lol at Emmett ask Morgan to be his “Ass. Man.”, which abbreviation of Assistant Manager but sound when abbreivate just like “assman.”  Sloth lol hard and tweet to friend!

Sloth big-time enjoy Captain Awesome plotline this week.  First, Devon suspect Casey of be creep, then he discover Chuck work for CIA!  That major plot development Sloth not predict!  Sloth suspect this not last we hear about that devlopment, if Chuck get third season.

Episode also feature development so monumental, Sloth feel oblige make shrine to it use nothing but Sloth own fece and Baby Ruth wrapper.  Chuck get Intersect out his head!

Now, Sloth not stupid.  Sloth feel certain this temporary plot development.  But Sloth still interest in see what happen next.

Sloth not impress by producer ability to put Sam Beckett and Clark Griswold to adequate use this episode.  Both give good performance, but both mostly waste by lack of scene in which appear in.  Sloth know not end sentence with preposition, but Sloth not know how else say that!

Last week on Chuck, Sloth not watch preview for this week episode Chuck, so Sloth not know there be no Sam Beckett or Clark Griswold on this week Chuck.  Sloth should have watch preview for this week Chuck; Sloth might know about sad absence of those people this week.  Sloth kinda piss, but Sloth can only be piss at self.

Sloth not make same mistake twice.  This week, Sloth watch commerical for next week Chuck, which include appearance by Captain Archer and President Ford.  Sloth happy now!  Sloth wish was next week tomorrow!

Sloth not overly thrill by tonight episode, to tell truth.  Was okay, but not Sloth favorite episode ever.  Sloth become preoccupy by plot hole such as why no customer ever come into Orange Orange to buy frozen yogurt?  Orange Orange not seem to have any employee other than Sarah.  Not make sense!

Sloth try and focus on positive.  Focus not Sloth strong point.

At Buy More, Emmett have employee on best behavior so he do well on evaluation when corporate visitor show up.  Morgan decide this what Emmett want them to do, so he do opposite: have Jeff, Lester, et cetera misbehave wanton.  Sloth not understand!  Morgan constant pull shenanigan like this; why they not all get fire?  Job market in toilet; ought be easy to find entry-level employee to replace Morgan and other fart-about employee.  Sloth think Emmett terrible manager.

As turn out, Emmett trick Morgan … his plan all along to get Big Mike fire so Emmett can become new store manager!  Sloth break Emmett neck if he get hold of it!  Emmett previously appear on Arrested Development.  Sloth not understand that show, so he give Emmett neck extra firm grip for that.  Sloth feel sorry for Big Mike, who now have to wear green shirt and smell Jeff breath all day.

Chuck try desperate to find father, who kidnap by Fulcrum last week.  Chuck not find him, though.  If NBC expect Chuck to find father, why NBC not put Scott Bakula in this episode?  Chuck never find him that way!  Chuck, knowing Scott Bakula not in episode, go to NSA jail and get Jill release so she can help.  They pose married couple, go to Jill house only to be meance by Jill uncle, who play by scary naked fat man from Borat, who thankfully not naked in this episode.  Chuck have better costume design than Borat!  Unfortunate for Chuck, scary not-naked fat man die of heart attack while trying kill Chuck, so Chuck learn nothing from him.  This offensive to fat people!  Fat people not always die from heart attack when trying kill people!  Scary not-naked fat man deserve better!  Should sue!

When Chuck see scary not-naked fat man, Chuck flash on him.  For no reason Sloth aware of, snippet of “Hungry Like Wolf” by Duran Duran play in background.  Sloth lol!  Sloth lol so loud!  Sloth enjoy use of music from king of all decade!  Sloth also thrill by use of Twisted Sister “We’re Not Gonna Take It” later in episode.  Sloth think Dee Snyder name might actual be Dee Fratelli!  Lol!

Sloth also enjoy when Casey enter Jill house and is greet by Jill father, who does jovial yuppie fake-punch to midsection.  Casey nearly punch Jill father for real, have to be restrain by Sarah.  Sloth love Casey!

Later, scary dead not-naked fat guy cell phone ring, and Chuck answer.  This result in plot to infiltrate Fulcrum office building and recapture Orion.  Sloth think this retard, and Sloth ought know!  Casey and Sarah really think Fulcrum not recognize son of Orion?  Sloth say that fucking stupid as hell.

Chuck, of course, get capture, have to be save by Jill, whom he let go because he feel bad about make her think she be let go by NSA if she cooperate.  Earlier, Jill tell Chuck, “NSA, Fulcrum, CIA, they’re all the same, they all lie; they’re not gonna let you go, either, Chuck.”

Jill absolute correct!  General Beckman order Sarah and Casey bring Chuck in to put him underground forever for own protection.  She shut down Human Intersect project!  This make Sloth holler!  Sloth choke General Beckman he ever find her!  Sloth probably not rape her first, but Sloth make no promise!

Sarah seem about to betray Chuck, but she tip him off.  Sarah make good decision; she not want Sloth wrath.

Sloth also notice:

At Fulcrum, somebody tell somebody else to move Orion to Black Rock.  Is this Lost reference?  Sloth HATE Lost!!!!!  Sloth so confuse by fifth season, Sloth head almost turn normal shape!

When Big Mike demote, Big Mike kiss Morgan on lip.  This very normal for male-male bonding.  But Big Mike recite dialogue inspire by The Godfather Part II, which Sloth recall as being use by Michael to indicate eminent death of Fredo due to familial betral.  (Sloth find much Shakespearean tragedy in Godfather series.)  This mean Big Mike and Morgan not experience male-male bonding.  Kiss on lip not make sense under those circumstance.  Sloth have unusual feeling Sloth not think about further.

Sloth also notice Ellie and Devon not in this episode.  Sloth warn Devon right now, if Ellie not in this episode because Devon punch her in face for not having dinner ready in timely fashion, Sloth hunt Devon down, repeatedly shove broken-off chair leg up Devon rectum until blood loss result in death.  Devon not be so awesome when bleed out through anus at Sloth hand.  Not hit Ellie, no matter how late dinner!  Sloth willing be patient until next week episode.  Sloth temporary give Devon benefit of doubt.  Sloth still suggest Devon watch back.  Devon sleep with eye open if Devon know what good for self.

Hey you guys, Sloth have review tonight episode Chuck, “Chuck Versus the Dream Job.”  Reader ever notice episode title of Chuck always “Chuck Versus Something”?  Sloth wonder if show writers notice.  Remind Sloth of Friends, which always had “The One Where” in title.  Maybe NBC thing.

Sloth enjoy “Chuck Versus the Dream Job.”  Sloth love Chuck, but Chuck occasionally guilty of being boring on subject Chuck/Sarah relationship.  Is that hard have affair behind back of government?  Sloth suppose President Clinton proof, but Chuck TV show; no one care if realistic.  Chuck and Sarah ought just do it and let General Beckman be jealous, like pervy old battle axe.  Sigh.

Sloth happy this week episode not dwell on that storyline.  Instead, show writers give Chuck emotional investment in someone not name Sarah.  (Chuck sometime show concern for sister Ellie, but Ellie play by actress name Sarah.  Sloth confuse!)

Sloth happy report that new episode Chuck revolve almost entirely around Chuck father!  As reader might remember from previous episode, Sarah find Chuck father as final act of pettiness when fired by government.  (Sarah later rehired with no evident penalty for misuse government database locate Chuck father.)  Episode end with Chuck and Sarah find Papa Bartowski, only camera cut away without show him!  Sloth frustrate!

Sloth feel better this week.  Papa Bartowski play by Scott Bakula, fine actor reader might remember from Quantum Leap and Enterprise and Star Trek: Enterprise and BEST OF ALL Major League 3!  Sloth love Scott Bakula!  Bakula bring gravity to Chuck; Chuck rarely have any gravity, but Bakula good at finding small emotional moment for character to live in, and have good chemistry with Zachary Levi.  Producers do good job in hiring.  Sloth disappoint a little it so painful obvious Papa Bartowski actually Orion.  Who not see that coming?  Chuck not specialize in plot twist.

“Chuck Versus Dream Job” also feature guest apperance by Chevy Chase, who last good role twenty year ago in National Lampoon Christmas Vacation.  Sloth love Christmas Vacation!  Sloth surprise by how good Chevy look, also surprise by how little comedy Chuck show writers find Chevy to act.  Chevy better than Sloth expect at meance.

Chevy play Roark, computer magnate who steal all Papa Bartowski good ideas when they partners in olden time.  Chuck assign by General Beckman to get job at Roark company, infiltrate and stop software launch.  Things not go as plan.  Chuck discover father actually Orion, then Orion get taken by Fulcrum as trade for Chuck being allowed live.

Little happen by Buy More this episode.  Jeff and Lester attend Roark expo, Morgan spill beans to Orion about Chuck new job.  That about all.  Sloth love Buy More, vaguely disappoint show not integrate better into plot this episode.

On other show front, Ellie and Devon on shaky ground following Devon infidelity at bachelor party.  Devon do nothing wrong!  Sloth frustrate!  Sloth angry!  Lucky for Ellie she so pretty.  Otherwise, Sloth want to hurt.  Ellie look like she might taste like saltier, less chocolaty Baby Ruth, so Sloth forgive all transgression and misunderstanding.  Devon simply have to ride out problem.  Sloth feel sure be resolve by season finale.

Sloth almost forget!  Ellie remind Papa Bartowski of how he abandon family by promising cook pancake for dinner but leaving family first.  Bakula say “Oh, boy.”  Haaaaahhhhh haha haaaaaahhhhhh!  Sloth love Quantum Leap reference.  If only Bakula say something like “Have faith of heart, Ellie, nothing gonna bend or break you,” Sloth die laughter.

Sloth new to blogosphere.  Never talk about Chuck before.  Sloth now mention how much love main title sequence and music.  Sloth think very catchy.  Design spare yet functional, hip yet square.  Sloth love juxtaposition of disparate element.
