“Doctor Who” Casts New Companion

In a press release, the BBC announced today that 21-year-old Karen Gillan has been cast as the companion in the next season of Doctor Who.
Gillan might be familiar to sharp-eyed fans of the show: she had a small role as a soothsayer in last season’s “The Fires of Pompeii.”
